Other Ways to Give

  • Volunteer your time. There are many ways you can help around the CTRA facility, whether it is in the riding ring, in a paddock or in the garden.

  • Donate your refundable drink containers! Beverage containers can be dropped off and put on CTRA’s account at the South End or Duncan Island Return It Centers, the Ladysmith Express Return It Centre (use our phone number 250-746-1028) or brought to the Island Return It bin at the entrance to our facility at 1843 Tzouhalem Rd. This is a win-win way to support CTRA! 

  • Donate used horse tack, footwear and apparel to the Jane James Used Tack Shop for use in our programs or resale as a fundraiser.

  • Drop off your country grocer receipts!

  • Donate items to silent auctions and other events when we ask. Several times per year, CTRA holds a Burger & Beer fundraiser or silent auction to raise funds. When we put out the call for items just let us know you would like to contribute! 

  • Remember us in your personal planning, will, insurance policy or long-term financial planning. Bequests and donations in your memory are a lasting way to ensure the stability of CTRA. 

  • Purchase CTRA Swag! Throughout the year, we have a variety of CTRA logo items available for purchase, from hats and shirts to saddle pads and lavender sachets. Check with us to see what is available now! 

  • Follow us on social media. The more you like us, the more we like you! Every click and every follow helps to boost our social media strength and put CTRA on the mainstage. A strong media presence helps us attract funders, garner attention and gain support in lots of ways. Follow, like, and share!

  • Organize your fellow employees or encourage your employer to support CTRA in a bigger way—with work parties, team donations or payroll deductions to fundraise. This is a great team-building experience! 

  • Sponsor an event. Have a business or company that could be an event sponsor? Several times a year we are looking for community-minded businesses to put their name behind our event. What goes around, comes around! 

  • Support our Supporters! This amazing community we live in is full of generosity. We encourage our supporters to help each other out by shopping at local businesses who put their dollars behind CTRA.

  • Be a CTRA Ambassador. Learn about what we do at CTRA and then tell the world! Share our social media posts, tell everyone you meet about us, encourage others to become members and donors, recruit fellow volunteers and stay involved!
