Jane

Jane James has been a horsewoman all her life. In 1986, after seeing a need in the community, Jane began a small therapeutic riding program which ran two days per week at Fox Run Stables. Two years later the program moved to Providence Farm and became the CTRA we know today.

Since its humble beginnings, Jane has been involved in all aspects of the program at one time or another, from Instructor to ED. In addition to being a CanTA and EC certified coach, Jane is also a CanTRA examiner, and has been involved with Therapeutic Riding at the national level for many years. Jane has also been involved in international equestrian competitions as a registered steward, which has taken her all over the world.

You may recognize Jane as the namesake for our Use Tack Shop as well! Jane has "retired" from CTRA, at least 2 times already, but she just keeps coming back to do what she loves most: teaching kids therapeutic riding.
